Silver Care

The artisanal jewellery of our partners is 100% handcrafted, extremely delicate and very unique. All items are plated with gold and rhodium - precious metals that increase their resistance to external factors. Nevertheless, this metal ages and oxidises by its own nature.

Oxidation is a natural phenomenon that affects all metal surfaces, causing them to blacken and lose their brilliance. This can be eliminated by cleaning it at home or by the manufacturer in special cases.

In order to preserve the jewellery in the best possible way, it is advisable to pay attention to certain instructions for use:

  • Care should be taken when wearing jewellery for sports or physical activities, in the pool or at the beach - avoid contact with sand, salt water, chlorine or sweat, which can accelerate the oxidation process.
  • Contact with creams, detergents or acidic products can damage the sparkle of the jewel.
  • The chemical composition of perfumes and make-up products can also damage the metal, so it is recommended to wait until any skin products has fully absorbed into the skin before putting on your jewel.
  • We recommend to remove any jewellery before going to bed as it’s very delicate.

Storage

Each piece of jewellery should be stored separately, in its own case, away from sources of heat and humidity, as even direct light can change the color of the metal.

Cleaning

Jewellery should be polished periodically with a special jewellery cloth or cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft bristle brush, but should be gently dried before storage.

Ageing of jewellery is not a detrimental effect, but a natural one that should be appreciated.

Treatment by the manufacturer can restore jewellery to its original condition.
